Fiddle back maple (main plate), with burl walnut (top and bottom bricks), burl cherry (dark vertical bricks), flat cut cherry (corner bricks).
Now for you LEGO(r) fans, you can create something that even people who have little appreciation of the brick will enjoy. Introducing HPT Designs exclusive BDP(c), "Brick Desk Plate". Each one is created from genuine wood veneer laminated to bricks so that you have an almost unlimited combination of designs. All the bricks are individual and can be interchanged with any of the others except of course for the main engraved plate which spans multiple bricks. The size of the plate is 7.5" x 1.52" and is available at present in Mahogany, Cherry, White Oak, Maple, Walnut, and Butternut. The bricks are available in all the above colors and also rosewood, ebony, sandalwood, padauk, and many others in the near future. Kit comes with engraved plate and variety of bricks so you can mix and match and with the leftovers you can create a pencil holder or whatever. In the near future I hope to have an interactive form so that you can pick and choose in your browser, but for now, just email me and we can work out what you want. Cost of kit which includes what you see and 12 additional 1x2's,14 additional 1x4's, and a stand. If you want to completely hide the studs on the top row, you can use 1xn tiles or we can supply them. Also remember, since it is modular, you can easily attach a minifig, or another engraved brick (wooden or not) anywhere you like. Great for teachers, who could have red, yellow, and blue alerts. Or "Gone Fishing" or "Gone Golfing" or just "Gone". The price of the kit is $30.00 + shipping (Priority mail with tracking--$5.00). Maximum number of letters on this size is 18 letters, but other sizes and combinations can be worked out. Just email me with what you want. Take the stand off and you have a door sign, stack one on top of the other and you have a directory. Possibilities are really unlimited.
