This will be the jumping off page for my line of veneered bricks. These are going to be available in over 100 different real wood veneers--both finished and unfinished and in 1x1's 1'2's, 1x3"s,1x4's,1x8's, and assorted multiple sizes such as 1x4-3high. My first mosaic using 1x1's
I cajoled Jamie Berard, LEGO designer, to make something out of some veneered bricks that I gave him at BrickFest 2006. Here is what he came up with. Not bad. One of these days, I am going to make something really neat with these bricks. Heck, I have a few thousand and no one wants to buy them, so will have to use them myself. They make great coasters, etc. finished with 4 coats of polyurethane so whatever you create can take some abuse.
Expect scans of the bricks in the near future. Below is a sample of what a couple of people have done with them. Ebony, maple , mohogany, zebra wood, silver aspen.
